Quality and Value – It Shouldn’t Have to Cost You More

mkj • Aug 12, 2019

Our history here in the Central Islip area dates back to 1933, when James P. Moloney opened the first Moloney Family Funeral Homes location on Carleton Avenue so he could help his friends and neighbors with their funeral , cremation , and burial needs.

Today, James’ grandson, Owner Daniel Moloney Jr. , carries on the family tradition of providing the highest quality services at affordable prices to those throughout Lake Ronkonkoma , Holbrook , Port Jefferson Station , Bohemia , Center Moriches , and Hauppauge.

Our entire staff at Moloney Funeral Homes has built our lives around this community – and our experience is evident. When a family calls us or walks through our doors, we know it’s the little things that create a first and lasting impression. It’s the compassion and respect we show to each individual. It’s the knowledge we have that makes a difficult time less complicated.

Since we’ve been a presence here for many decades, we are intimate with the beliefs, cultures, and traditions that add so much to this part of the state and country. To effectively meet the needs in our area, we have Spanish-speaking professionals on staff, not to mention our grief therapy dog Kota, who brings a smile during an otherwise sad time.

Above all else, we are here to help families tell the story of a life in a personal way. What does this look like? For us, it means offering more personalization options than other funeral homes in the area while keeping costs reasonable. We have personalization specialists who work with families to design a final farewell highlighting their loved one’s passions, accolades, religious beliefs, and hobbies.

We’ve arranged a butterfly release at the graveside, a bagpiper playing “Danny Boy,” and for those who are passionate about motorcycles, our Motorcycle Hearse is always a popular choice. These personal touches are part of what makes a final tribute so special – and create memories that family and friends can carry with them long after the funeral is over.

Adding these customized details is something we take very seriously, along with making sure a loved one’s unique story is told in a way the family can afford. We realize planning a funeral can be stressful and difficult; financial worries shouldn’t be added to it. Our caring, experienced professionals are here to assist you with every detail and will present all your options in a clear and organized way.

For us, the most rewarding part of what we do is encouraging people to experience closure, renewal, and togetherness. We want you to focus on healing and leave the rest to us. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions about our services, or if you’re interested in preplanning your own funeral arrangements. We’re here and ready to help, just as our family has been for nearly a century.
