Ajit Mansukhani

d. October 31, 2024

Ajit (Andy) Mansukhani, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully. Born on June 16, 1946, and grew up in Mumbai, India, he was the son of the late Hassomal and Dru Mansukhani and brother to the late Heru Mansukhani. Andy attended St. Xavier’s School and College before joining the merchant navy, which sparked a love for travel and adventure.

After marrying the love of his life, Lalita, the two made the bold decision to start a new life in New York, where they created a loving home. As a proud member of the New York community, Andy was deeply committed to service and philanthropy, including his role as past president of the Nargis Dutt Cancer Memorial Foundation, where he worked to make a difference in countless lives.

Andy’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father to Neil and Danny and welcomed his daughters-in-law, Pooja and Rama, with open arms. His grandchildren—Vinay, Miles, Zen, and Alisha—brought him immense pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He will be remembered as a man of great warmth, integrity, and kindness, who left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His legacy of love and service will continue to live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.
