Andrew Woodburn Maxwell

With tremendous grief we share the passing of Andrew Woodburn Maxwell, age 41. He was born in Bay Shore, NY and graduated from Brentwood High School in 1995. He was an Eagle Scout who went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Curry College in Milton, MA. More recently he had been living in Grafton, Massachusetts with his wife, Michelle, and employed as a Program Coordinator at Community Resources for Justice. Andy was a warm and funny man who was particularly cherished by his nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Michelle (Phillips) Maxwell, his parents, Anne and Peter Maxwell, of Brentwood, NY, and his sister Carolyn Prego and her husband, Mike, of Smithtown, NY. The family will receive visitors at the Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home, 840 Wheeler Road, (Rte.111), Hauppauge, NY on Sunday, September 23 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 24 at 10am followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Bay Shore, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ACLD foundation at ACLD.org.
