Anong Khotpanya was born in Ban Veunthad, Laos, to Amka and Nouman Khotpanya. She was the beloved eldest sister of Bounnong Vongsa, Sengthong Khotpanya, Phenghong Khotpanya, Bouahong Khotpanya, and Boonyong Chawporn.
She married ThongPhout Khotpanya in 1977 and immigrated to the United States in 1986 with their three daughters, Ratsamy, Niphaphone, and Thankone, and her sister-in-law, Kay Thongkaseth. The family landed in the Bronx, NY, and eventually settled on Long Island where she would raise her family and live until her passing.
She loved her children and family deeply and unconditionally. She was a beautiful, nurturing soul, always there for anyone in need. Her kind and loving presence will be deeply missed by all, and her memory will forever live in our hearts.
