Arleen Patricia Willman

d. Jul 31, 2026

Commack, NY

Arleen Patricia Willman, born on October 4, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York, peacefully departed this life, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Arleen was the beloved daughter of David and Patricia Smith, who instilled in her a deep appreciation for family and a rich cultural heritage that she embraced wholeheartedly throughout her life.

Arleen's journey in life was marked by her passionate spirit and boundless enthusiasm. After spending three decades in the advertising industry, she discovered a new calling as a professional recruiter, sharing her wisdom and encouraging others to pursue their dreams. Her career transitions were a testament to her belief that "Nothing was Impossible," a mantra she lived by and shared with everyone she met.

A proud Irishwoman, Arleen's love for her heritage was evident in her dedication to Irish Step Dancing, a talent that earned her a gold medal in a major competition. The love for Irish Step Dancing continued with her children. Her eyes sparkled with joy when she danced, and those who watched her felt the warmth of her spirit and the pride she took in her accomplishments.

Arleen's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Scott Willman, whom she met in 2004 and married on November 1, 2015. Together, they built a life filled with adventure and love, traveling to beautiful destinations such as Aruba, her cherished "home away from home." Their home was shared with their beloved dogs, Mason Cole and Mickey Mick Willman, who brought endless joy to their lives.

Arleen's children, Brittany (and her husband Chris) and James (and his wife Dani), were her pride and joy, and she delighted in their successes and happiness. Her sisters, Maureen and Doreen, remember her as their confidante and friend, always ready with a listening ear and a kind word.

Beyond her family, Arleen was a beacon of kindness and generosity to her friends and community. She loved to dance, enjoy live music, and explore the flavors of good food, wineries, and breweries. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence could light up any room.

A service to celebrate Arleen's remarkable life will be held on August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King R.C. Church, located at 2 Indian Head Road, Commack, New York 11725. In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in the near future in Arleen's memory to a scholarship foundation for brain aneurysm awareness, honoring Arleen's belief that it is always better to give than to receive. If you have any questions or need additional information, please reach out to Scott.

Arleen's family wishes to convey this special message: Arleen was a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to so many. Her life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and the belief that no dream is too big. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
