Arthur Edmond Blinn

Arthur Edmon Blinn, 81, of Centereach, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Stony Brook Hospital, surrounded by his children.

Born on August 31, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Edmond and Hazel (Mallet) Blinn. Arthur served proudly in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer during the Vietnam War, and after his honorable discharge and returning home, he continued his life of service & commitment to protecting others by joining the New York City Police Department

He leaves behind his children—Kathleen Blinn of Ronkonkoma; Edmond Blinn and his wife Susan of Central Islip; and Marguerite Gargiulo of Centereach—who will forever carry his strength and his humor in their hearts. He was the beloved grandfather of Michael Payton, Makayla Payton, Christopher Blinn, Kevin Blinn, Victoria Gargiulo, and Frankie Gargiulo; and the cherished great‑grandfather of Michael Andrew Payton and Hailey Duncan. Each of them was a bright spot in his life. Arthur’s presence filled every room he entered, and his absence will be felt just as strongly. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with those who went before him, and that the love he gave so freely will continue to echo through the generations he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
