Stevenson, Augustus R. of Holbrook NY on March 10, 2016 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of June A. Stevenson, loving father of 4 sons, and grandfather of 8. Augustus was known as Bobby Stevenson in the music world of the 1950’s for songs such as Hey Little Girl by Dee Clark, So Many Ways by Brook Benton, I Don’t Known by Ruth Brown, Please Say You’re fooling by Ray Charles and many many more. Augustus also won songwriter of the year from Billboard Magazine in 1959.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home, 825 Main street, Holbrook NY where a religious and military service will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. www.moloneyfh.com
