Barbara Eileen Gardner

Barbara E. Gardner, 89, born and raised on Long Island, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 28, 2026.

She was married to her late husband, Andy, for 54 wonderful years before his passing in 2010. Barbara loved her family dearly and would do anything for them. She was also a true animal lover, especially fond of cats and dogs. She enjoyed feeding the birds outside every day, something that brought her great happiness. Barbara loved to read and spend time doing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles, which she enjoyed until her eyesight began to fail. 

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Patricia (husband Craig) Mallanda of New York and Linda Gardner of Arizona; her grandchildren, Andrea (husband Ralph) Liberatoscioli, Brian (wife Claudia) Mallanda, and Michael (wife Brianna) Mallanda; and her great-grandchildren, Krista, Evan, and Jake Liberatoscioli and Lily Mallanda.

Her wake will be held on Thursday, November 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mother Teresa Tribute Center at Moloney's in Lake Ronkonkoma. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6.
