Barbara Smith

Busch Smith- Barbara Belec, (October 15, 1946 – October 21, 2023) daughter of Dorothy La Preta and Arthur Belec sadly passed at age 77. Barbara grew up In Queens Village and attended Andrew Jackson High School. She and her late husband Ernest Busch are survived by their children Stacey Barbaro (Christopher), Stephen (Karen) and John. She was predeceased by her second husband, Eugene Smith, father of Gene and Brian (Kerrie). She was a loving grandmother to Madison, Matthew, Julie, Ryan, Keeley, Logan, the late Alexander, Gabriel, and Adina. Barbara retired from the Suffolk County Department of Parks in West Sayville and was a 40-year resident of Bohemia. In repose at Moloney Funeral Home in Bohemia on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Mass Friday, at 10 AM at St. John Nepomucene in Bohemia. Interment to follow at LI National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
