Bernard Bradley, age 96, passed away peacefully at The Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony Brook NY on August 15th, 2026.

Buddy was the first of two children of Mary and Bernard Bradley. He grew up in Queens, NY where the JFK Airport is now located.

After graduating high school, he joined the US Marine Corp, served from 1951 to 1953 and was Honorably discharged. He married his wife, Maureen (McKeever), and built their home In Hauppauge, NY where they raised their two boys and lived over 60 years.

Buddy worked and retired from the NY State Department of Transportation. He and Maureen purchased a second home in Montauk, NY where he enjoyed many vacations, weekends, and his retirement, fishing off the point with family and friends, particularly his brother, Peter, and brother in law, Vincent.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Maureen, and two children: Robert (Cindy), John, and by four grandchildren: Brian, Kevin (Alexandra), Shawn, and Mark. He is also survived by several close nieces and nephews. Buddy was preceded in death by his brother, Peter and parents, Mary and Bernard.

Visitation will be held at the Moloney Funeral Home in Hauppauge on Sunday, August 23rd from 2-5 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St.Patrick's Catholic Church in Smithtown on Monday, August 24th at 9:45AM followed by a burial service at Calverton National Cemetery.
