Borghild Agnes Hooper

Borghild “Betty” Agnes Hooper (née Thomson), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at home in Littlestown Pennsylvania, after a short illness. She was 99 years old, born on June 15, 1926, in Norway. She came to America at the age of 11 in 1937 leaving behind her relatives, friends and a menagerie of pets! Betty grew up with a strong sense of family and hard work that would guide her throughout her life. She loved to dance and would always light up a room. Betty was predeceased by her husband Benjamin Kent Hooper, Sr and her parents Anscar Thomson (Landsverk) and Mother Bertha Thomson (Brudevold), her sisters Kanutta Vicik and Nikolina Dismore. She is survived by her children Benjamin K Hooper Jr., Wendy H. Burkett, and Bradford L Hooper, 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their families. 

The Funeral will be held at the Moloney-Sinnickson’s Funeral Home in Center Moriches on March 7th with internment to follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
