Carmen Mattas

Born March 23, 1948, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Carmen was a woman of deep faith, strength, and independence. She was a devoted wife to Jose, a loving mother to Yvonne and son-in-law Daniel, and a cherished grandmother to Christofer and Daniella.

Carmen believed strongly in God and faithfully supported her church and church community. She found joy in life’s simple but meaningful blessings – lighthouses-which reflect guidance and hope, red roses-symbols of love and strength and cats-which matched her gentle yet strong spirit.

She passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Her love, faith, and light will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
