Carole Ann Bienz (Cootz), born April 1, 1943, in Queens, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, holding hands with her daughters. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Clarence and Christina (Wiskemann), and her devoted husband, Edward John Bienz Jr., with whom we believe she shared a beautiful reunion in Heaven—just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Carole proudly graduated from Lennox Hill Hospital School of Nursing in New York City and was deeply proud of her nursing degree. She later earned her bachelor’s degree from NYIT. A compassionate nurse and fierce advocate, Carole cared deeply for her patients and their families. She was also a dedicated and loving wife and mother.
Carole was actively involved with the Girl Scouts of the USA for many years, serving as both a leader and volunteer with the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County Council. Her commitment to mentoring and service touched many lives.
She greatly enjoyed traveling the world with her beloved husband, Edward John Bienz Jr., and her family—whether exploring far-off destinations or sharing the magic of Disney together.
Carole loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed, yet adoringly remembered, by her daughters Kimberly Ann and her husband Michael, and Christina and her husband Paul; her cherished grandchildren Sean E., Tara E., Anthony J., and Jake E.; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Paula and Tom, Fred and Maria, Arthur and Laura, and Walter and Joann (2020); as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole’s memory may be made to the Ronkonkoma Fire Department or to a charity of your choice.
