David A. Weinstein

David A. Weinstein, 79, Holbrook N.Y. passed away on 12/7/2024. He is survived by his wife Lila, his children Adam Weinstein and wife Meredith, Jennifer Lypen and her husband Brian, his grandchildren Hunter, Chelsea, Rachel and Zachary.

David met his wife Lila in Geology 1 Class at Brooklyn College and they were married for 59 years. He taught at Queens College and then at Bayport/BluePoint Schools, then retired in 2000.  David was an avid traveler whether it be by motorcycle, travel trailer or boat.

He was a great storyteller and always chewed your ear off whenever given the chance. When not giving his time to his family he kept his hands busy creating SteamPunk Lamps or taking care of his Koi Pond. He is loved by his four grandchildren and would do anything for them. He was our biggest cheerleader.
