HUDSON, EDWARD
Ed passed away after a brief illness. 89 years young, he was spunky to the end.
Ed’s first job was a paper boy at Newsday. He loved the job and made many friends there. His carreer spanned 40+ years. After retirement, Ed went back to work at Newsday part time, that’s how much he loved Newsday. Baseball and football was his passion. Yankee’s and Green Bay Packers were his teams. The Yankee’s made him proud with their winning streaks. He is still waiting for Green Bay to win the Super Bowl – maybe this year. Ed’s sense of humor rubbed off on his children and grandchildren. Family gatherings he was the center of attention telling his stories and initiating laughter. Holding court for all the family his opinions and how to solve world problems. In his younger years Ed enjoyed traveling, horseback riding, swimming and get togethers with his family and friends. He was a volunteer fireman in New Hyde Park. Ed was born in Astoria and grew up in New Hyde Park. He gradutated from Sewanaka High School in 1946. He leaves behind a Wife, 9 Children, 25 grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren.

Religious Service Tuesday 5:00 pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY.
