Edward Teaney

At the early hours of Thursday January 9th, six years to the day after the loss of his beloved daughter Erin, Edward J. Teaney Jr. at the age of 85 has passed away. Leaving behind his loving wife Sarah of almost 50 years of marriage, and his son Michael along with his wife Maria to celebrate his life.

Edward J. Teaney Jr. was born on May 19,1939 to Edward Teaney Sr. and Kathleen Teaney. Edward spent his early years growing up in Ronkonkoma with his sisters. This is where Edward learned his love of the water working as a Lifeguard at Duffield Beach. 

Shortly after high School, Edward went on to serve in the United States Navy on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier. After returning home Edward went right to work for the Town of Islip Department of Public Works which is where he chose to build a lasting career of 39 years. He retired in 1999.
