Elaine F. Thompsen

Elaine Thompsen, 92, of East Patchogue, passed away on Saturday, August 15.

Elaine was the youngest of 11 children. She was the wife of the late Clarence Thompsen and the mother of Ricky, Jim, and Mark. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence, and her sons, Ricky and Jim. She is survived by her son Mark and his wife Kim; her daughter-in-law Laura, the widow of her late son Jim; her grandchildren Christopher, Peter, and Jennifer; and her beloved nieces, Laurie and Carol.

Elaine was a great mother to Jim and Mark. No matter how tight money was, she always found a way to make sure they had what they needed. She took care of Clarence in his final days with extraordinary love and devotion. Even in her own last days, Elaine continued to do whatever she could for her children.

She loved bingo, scratch-offs, and hunting for a good bargain. Whether she was in a store or at a garage sale, she always enjoyed finding something special. She was generous with her time and with the little treasures she found, and she liked sharing them with the people she loved.

Elaine will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and devotion to her family. She will be missed very much.
