Eva Lydia Vega

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eva Lydia Vega, affectionately known as "Pinky," who departed this world on April 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on August 12, 1949, in Isabella, Puerto Rico, Eva led a life dedicated to her family as a devoted homemaker. She resided in Central Islip, New York, where she created a warm and loving home for her loved ones.

Eva is survived by her beloved husband, Jesus Carrion; her daughter, Milagros Rivera; and her sons, Jesus Rivera and Ismael Lopez. She was a proud grandmother to Sabrina, Julio Jr., Angel, Brittany, Joshua, and Robert, and a cherished great-grandmother to Riley. Eva is also survived by her dear sisters, Natividad Quinones and Margarita Vega, and will be remembered by her late siblings, Lucy Vega, Martha Vega, and Eddie Vega.

Throughout her life, Eva found joy in the simple pleasures, including crossword puzzles, home decoration, collecting Betty Boop memorabilia, shopping, and listening to her favorite oldies, particularly enjoying her cherished movie, "Grease." Her vibrant spirit will remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Eva's legacy as a loving wife and mother will forever be celebrated, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
