Evelyn Deveau

Our dear sweet mom, Evelyn Deveau, passed away on January 13th, 2026, surrounded by the enduring love and protection of her family.

To know Evelyn was to love her. She was kind, sharp witted, silly, imaginative, curious minded and deeply loving.

Born and raised in Astoria, Queens. She was the youngest of three girls, adored by her father David and raised by her mother Mai to be a strong, loving woman. She grew up light hearted, dependable and rooted in her Catholic faith.

Being a mother was her greatest joy in life. She was the best friend to each of her three children, Scott, David and her favorite Mai. She was a skilled creator of magical moments and memories for her family, a gifted and sentimental storyteller, a very patient listener, a strong advocate for her children, a talented artist, devoted wife to her childhood sweetheart Eddie for 60 years, and a silly loving grandma to her two rays of sunshine, Kaelin and Ramona.

She will be missed every day. May she rest in peace with her family in heaven.
