It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Filomina D'Anna, aged 90, of Ronkonkoma, New York, who departed this life on December 9, 2025.
Born on September 28, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, Filomina was a beloved daughter to Joseph and Isabella Altieri and devoted wife to her late husband Innocenzio for many cherished years. Filomina is survived by her loving children, Vito D'Anna and Debra D'Anna, whose lives she filled with unwavering love and kindness. She was a proud grandmother to Christine (Chase), Philip (Colleen), Catherine (Sean), Madison (Gregory), and Frankie, and a dear great-grandmother to Alice, Cameron, Anthony, and Diana. For 27 years, Filomina dedicated her talents as a cook to the Connetquot Central School District in Bohemia, where she left an indelible mark on the lives of many students and staff with her warm spirit and culinary skills.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed dancing the Lindy and was known for her kind soul, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a smile.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Filomina's life at Moloney's Lake Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of life service will take place at 4:30 PM.
