Francis J. Fazio, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 18, 2025. Born on January 3, 1943, in Saint Albans, New York, to Gabriel and Grayce Fazio, Francis grew up surrounded by family and community, sharing a close bond with his siblings Anne Maria, Gabrielle, and Leonard.
Francis was the loving husband of Carmella and a proud father to Gabriel Fazio, Nicholas Fazio, Nicholas Azzara, Michael Azzara, Gregory Azzara, and Mona Maharaja. He also cherished his daughters-in-law—Eri, Melissa, Jamie, and Erin—and his grandchildren Amberlyn, Sara, Taylor, Benjamin, and Ryan, always providing love, guidance, and support.
A dedicated professional, Francis worked in the moving and storage industry and was a master personal trainer, touching the lives of many through his expertise, discipline, and encouragement. His commitment to service extended to his time in the United States Navy, where he served his country honorably.
Francis will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he impacted through his work, his service, and his love.
A wake will be held at Maloney’s Funeral Home in Ronkonkoma on Thursday, August 21st. A funeral Mass and service will follow on Friday, August 22nd, at Good Shepherd Church in Holbrook at 10:00 a.m., with burial to take place at Calverton National Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Francis J. Fazio, a man whose spirit, courage, and love will be deeply missed.
