**In Loving Memory of Gaspare Lipari**
Gaspare Salvatore “Sal” Lipari, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 28th, in Smithtown, NY. Born on September 18, 1938 in Alcamo, Italy, Sal lived a life rich in love, hard work, and quiet wisdom.
Sal was the eldest of seven children born to Salvatore and Vita Lipari. He spent his early years in Sicily, where he developed the deep-rooted values of family, hard work, and humility that would shape his life.
After immigrating to the United States in the late 1950s, Sal proudly served his country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Killen Texas. Following his military service, he poured his energy and dedication into building a successful electrical contracting business—one that stood as a testament to his tireless work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. Sal left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside him for all those many years.
Sal was more than his accomplishments—he was a man of profound kindness and patience, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: cooking delicious meals for his loved ones, tending to his garden with care, traveling to new places, and most of all, spending time with his family. His love for chocolate was legendary, and he never missed an opportunity to share a sweet treat and a story.
He is survived by his devoted wife of more than 20 years, Barbara; his loving children, Michael, Christine, Raymond, Brigid and Scott; and his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, and Julia Lipari, Liana Osman, Molly and Joseph Evans, Megan and Michael Van Aken, and Scott and Sydney Evans, who were all the light of his life. Whether gathered around the dinner table or in the backyard garden, Sal’s presence brought comfort, laughter, and love.
Sal Lipari lived a full and meaningful life, touching the lives of all who knew him. He embodied the best of values—kindness, patience, generosity, and devotion to family. He leaves behind a family that will carry his memory, his values, and his love in their hearts forever.
