Geraldine Wanda Gudema

On September 12th 2025 our beloved mother Geraldine earned her angel wings. Born Geraldine Wanda Dolan on August 2nd 1941 to William and Anna Dolan of Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the youngest of 8 and last surviving of her siblings: William Dolan, Genevieve Dolan, Eleanor Kordes (Frank), Thomas Dolan, Margaret Smykowski (Chester), AnnaMae Vaillant (Albert), and Eugene Dolan. She loved them dearly and spoke about them often. Spending many hours talking to her sisters on the phone. As a teenager growing up in Williamsburg Brooklyn she met Aaron Gudema and that's where their love story began. They were married February 13th 1960 where they lived in Williamsburg and had four children Dawn, Michael (Susan), Denise (Stephen Bannon) and LeeAnn (Domenico Santorufo) In 1970 they decided to move out to Long Island in Holbrook where they lived for the rest of their lives. This is where they met their best friends Bob and Louise DeGaro. She was a devoted grandmother to Michael (Wendy), Ryan, Olivia, Thomas, Fallon, Eugene and Aaron. And most recently a GG to Ella, Amelia, and Eliana. She was a loving and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews and a wonderful best friend to many. Her family was her greatest joy and she will be forever missed and her legacy will live on forever. She is now reunited with our father Aaron and sister Dawn.
