Irene E. Zummo, 97, passed away on August 25, 2026 at the Bellhaven Center For Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Brookhaven, NY.

Irene was born in New York City on July 4, 1929, to the late Hollis and Ivy Mae Crowe. She spent most of her life in her Bellerose, NY home as a dedicated homemaker. She had a deep love for creating crafts and writing poetry.

Irene was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, John; her son, Michael; her brother, Arthur; and her sister, Evelyn.

She is survived by her two sons, John Jr. (Kathleen) of Roxbury, NY, and Paul (Jonelle) of Mastic, NY, and three grandchildren, Jillian (Jerynne), Paul Anthony, and Rachel. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Irene will truly be missed by her family and friends.
