In loving memory of James M DiLorenzo,
James DiLorenzo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unyielding optimism that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on April 2nd 1949, James was a man whose spirit could brighten the darkest of days. His infectious laughter and warm heart were constants to those he knew. He found joy in the simplicity of the good things of life, in sharing a joke, dancing & cooking with his family and in making memories with those he loved. His was a life full of adventures, both big and small, and he embraced every opportunity to add a little laughter to the world.
He had an innate sense of looking at life’s challenges through an optimistic lens, and to always find something to be grateful for. Whether in moments of triumph or hardship, he never took life too seriously. His positive outlook, quick wit, and playful spirit were the heart and soul of every room he entered. He believed in enjoying the ride, & making the best of every aspect of life.
To know James was to know someone who never let life’s inevitable hardships get him down. He had an uncanny way of lightening the mood, making people laugh, and reminding everyone around him to enjoy the moment—no matter what. His optimism wasn’t just a trait; it was the way he lived. James taught those who loved him that life was too precious to dwell on the small stuff and that a good laugh and a positive attitude could get you through almost anything.
James loving spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends: his wife Marilyn, his daughter Leandrea, his sons Jason and Todd, his eight grandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Ashley, Elyse, Justin, Emma, Raegan & Pax & his dog, Cody.
Rest in peace, James. Your laughter, your joy, and your positive spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know you. You proved that a life lived with joy is is a life well lived, and we’ll carry that with us always.
