Scott Jr., affectionately known as Tim, was born on October 26, 1956, at Freeport Hospital to proud parents James T. Scott Sr. and Nancy O. (Sims) Scott. From a young age, Tim was deeply loved and cherished, growing up in a warm, faith-filled home.Tim's spiritual journey began early—he was introduced to Scripture as a child and was later baptized at the Huntington Church of Christ. His faith remained an important part of his life. A graduate of the North Babylon School District, Tim went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army for four years, an experience he always held in high regard. After completing his military service, Tim pursued further education and earned a diploma in TV and radio repair. However, it was in the field of construction where he truly found his calling. Gifted with exceptional hands-on skills, Tim became a highly respected and talented craftsman—able to build or repair just about anything.Tim was preceded in death by his father, James T. Scott Sr. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in his devoted wife, Joanne, and their four beloved children: Sherri (Mike), Chris (Jewel), Duane, and Sean. He was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.He is also survived by his loving mother, Nancy Scott (age 91); his sister, Lisa; niece Tayler (Darius); nephew James Scott; and his treasured Aunt Josephine (age 100). Tim shared an especially close bond with his cousins Julian Scott and Theresa, who were like siblings to him and remained a constant source of support and comfort during his final days.Tim’s memory will live on through the many relatives, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply and will miss him greatly. He will be remembered not only for his craftsmanship and hard work but for his faith, loyalty, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.
