Jane R. Hauptvogel

Jane Ramon (née McNamee) Hauptvogel, 80, of Farmingville, New York, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in East Northport, New York. She was born on May 15, 1945, to parents Michael and Anna (née Punda) McNamee and grew up in West Islip, New York with her siblings, Michael and Virginia. Jane attended SUNY Oneonta where she received her degree in secondary education, specializing in mathematics. She taught that subject for close to 30 years at several different schools in the Sachem Central School District. Jane is survived by her husband of 51 years, Claus, her two daughters, Julie and Caren, Caren’s husband Wayne, and her three grandchildren, Hunter (17), Kayla (11), and Tomi (9). She will be missed dearly and always remembered as a devoted wife, a beloved mother and grandmother, and a cherished friend. May she rest in peace in God’s loving arms.
