Janice L. Roden, 77, of Bohemia, NY, passed away on May 9th following a short illness.

Janice was born on February 3rd, 1948, in Philadelphia, the beloved daughter of Ruth and Dave Weinberg. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1965 and pursued some further education while living in Storrs, Connecticut and Queens, New York.

Professionally, Janice booked modeling gigs, including an ad campaign for Samba Nuts. She also had a beautiful voice and sang in a band while residing in Connecticut, providing entertainment at weddings and birthday parties. When Janice moved to Long Island, she worked as a Purchasing Director at HA Guden. She was recognized for her special contributions and made lifelong friends.

While working for Avon, Janice met the love of her life, Charles Roden. They had a small wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada in December of 1982. Over their 32 years together, they shared a beautiful love story and created a life filled with cherished memories.

Janice was an early adopter of the beanie baby craze among other collectibles. Her hobbies included line dancing, paint by numbers, crocheting, arts and crafts, and most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with friends, and would never miss a scheduled brunch.

Janice and Charles travelled together on various cruise ships. Her loved ones will forever treasure the memory of spending family holidays together, as well as trips to Florida, Virginia and Maine.

Janice is survived by her loving sons, Bradford Burns (Allyson) and Michael Roden (Jennifer) and her sister, Sheryl Ferguson (Kevin) as well as her dear step-children Bonnie (Jeff), Bobby (Trish), and Maureen. Her memory is also lovingly embraced by her adored grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Sienna, Nichole and Jeffrey, her niece, Ashley in addition to her great-grandchildren, Mila, Ava, Noah, Sterling & Presley.

Janice's kind and caring spirit will be dearly missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
