Janis was a devoted wife, mother, nanny, sister, and friend, who was born on May 24, 1949, in Bayshore NY. She was proud of her four children and eleven grandchildren.
Janis enjoyed caring for and helping people in need. She was a dedicated psychiatric nurse for over 30 years, and was also a volunteer AEMT for Central Islip and Holbrook fire department. In addition, she volunteered for the Army family support group, helping families whose love ones were overseas.
Janis was devoted to her family and showed her love in many ways, such as her special homemade meals, traditions, values and humor. She went about life putting her family and other people before herself. Janis will be forever cherished and loved in our hearts and our stories.
