Joanne Connors was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully after a courageous ten-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was surrounded by the deep love of her family, who will forever hold her memory close.
Joanne’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was the proud and loving mother of Kristen, Carrie, and Kelli, her three daughters who were not only her children but also her best friends. She adored spending time with them, especially on their cherished shopping trips together, which often turned into laughter-filled adventures and lasting memories.
Joanne was a doting grandmother to nine grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy. She lovingly cared for six of them as infants, giving them the same gentle affection and nurturing spirit that defined her as a mother. Her soft singing voice, warm hugs, and loving presence made every moment with her special.
Summers on Lake George were among her favorite times, spent boating with her beloved husband Rick her daughters and her extended family. Those days on the water, surrounded by laughter, sunshine, and togetherness, brought her true happiness. Joanne also found peace in her Sunday church visits, followed by one of her favorite traditions which was sharing Long Island bagels with family at home.
Joanne had a beautiful way with words. Her well-timed one-liners, idioms, and proverbs often brought both wisdom and humor to everyday life. She had a sentimental heart and lovingly held on to keepsakes from her daughters’ childhoods such as Cabbage Patch dolls, Barbie dolls, old toys, and anything that carried emotional meaning.
Soft-spoken yet strong, Joanne’s kindness, generosity, and nurturing nature touched everyone around her. She was a devoted wife, a caring sister, a deeply loving mother, and an extraordinary grandmother. Her quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering love made her the heart of the family.
Joanne’s legacy lives on in her daughters and grandchildren, in the values she instilled, and in the love she gave so freely. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
