John A. DiAngelo, 88, of Holtsville, NY, passed away on August 3, 2026. He was the devoted husband of Tina for 65 years; beloved father of Peter and Dawn; loving father-in-law of Corinne; and cherished grandfather of John.
Born in Manhattan on May 2, 1938, he called the Lower East Side home during his earliest years. Inspired by the strong work ethic instilled by his father, Peter, he passed along that same value to his children and grandson. He provided a plethora of adventures, from afternoons in Central Park to endless rides on the Staten Island Ferry, much like his father had provided for him and his brother, Sam.
Having renewed their vows on their fiftieth anniversary, John and Tina’s love inspires and endures. His love of family, including cherished cousins and best friend, dogs, classic movies, vintage radio shows, music, cooking, and Seinfeld remain with us. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, humor, and strength and will be missed by all who were blessed to share his journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to St. Jude’s https://www.stjude.org/donate
