John "Jack" Harkins

Jack, 76, of Hauppauge, NY.  Born on April 6, 1947, he peacefully passed on September 3, 2023.  He grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn and was the son of Vinny and Mae Harkins.  He attended James Madison High School in Brooklyn.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Diane and they had four amazing children who Jack truly loved beyond measure: John, Kera (wife Marty), Janice (husband James), and Patrick.  He also was survived by his best friend, Cooper, his Australian Shepherd.  He was honored to be the brother to three great gentlemen: predeceased by Vinny (wife Marie), predeceased by Tom (wife Pam), and Bill (wife Mary), as well as uncle to their loving families.  He loved having one meal a day from 7 AM to 7 PM, the beach, White Castle, Hidden Pond Park, and Breezy Point.
