With great sadness, after a courageous battle against small bowel cancer, Joseph's family announces his passing at his home on October 14th, 2026. Joe is survived by his wife, Grace, his children, Stephanie, Michelle and Deanna, and grandchildren Jordan and Piper.
Born on November 22, 1957, in Flushing, Queens, Joe was raised in Centereach, New York, and later made his home in Holbrook. On June 6, 1982, he married the love of his life, Grace, and together they shared more than 44 years of marriage, building a beautiful life and family filled with love and wonderful memories. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Josephine and John Boccuzzo, and is survived by his siblings, John and Dianne Boccuzzo.
Joe was, above all else, a devoted family man. A loving husband and the proud father of three daughters, he embraced being a "girl dad" wholeheartedly. Whether he was braiding hair, attending dance recitals, teaching his girls to ride bikes, or simply spending time together, Joe was always there. As his family grew, he took on the role of grandfather with just as much love and enthusiasm, cherishing every moment with Jordan and Piper.
Known for his unwavering loyalty, strong work ethic, and dedication to doing things the right way, Joe was someone his family could always depend on. He took tremendous pride in his work and remained committed to his responsibilities even throughout his illness. He was a man who liked things done a certain way, believed in following the rules, and rarely left anything to chance. But behind that particular nature was a warm heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a man who loved nothing more than sharing a good laugh with the people closest to him.
He filled his home with music and passed that love on to his daughters. He enjoyed traveling, making memories with his family, and the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time in his backyard with his beloved dog, Maggie.
Joe leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a family who loved him beyond measure. His love, guidance, humor, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed, but the life he built and the memories he created will live on through everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
