In loving memory of Joseph Orenzo who passed away on June 17th, 2025. A loving father of Michele, Joseph, Andrew and Matthew and dedicated husband to Joyce, his life was spent swinging a hammer and helping others. If Joe wasn't framing a deck or installing windows or crafting toys, you could find him smiling and laughing or singing along to his favorite songs.
Born in the Bronx and a graduate of Half Hollow Hills high school, Joe found his passion early on. He began framing houses and soon found construction work throughout the five boroughs. He married Joyce Bailey and raised their family in Holbrook where he was employed for Grumman and worked as a construction lead man in Bethpage and Calverton. Joe worked side jobs fielding calls for kitchen and bathroom renovations, pool decks, windows of all sizes, siding houses of all shapes and basement conversions. Not only was Joe skilled in all aspects of construction but he was a skillful artisan designing and tooling beautiful pieces of furniture - dressers, desks, armoires and tables for family and friends.
He loved waking up with the sun and grabbing bagels on a Sunday. He loved talking shop about framing and tools and Pontiacs. He loved talking and laughing with his children, grandchildren and friends and was in love with his wife.
Joe will be missed by many and remembered for his smile, humor and love of family.
