Mother, grandmother, unfailing sister and friend, Jyoti Dave of Bethpage, NY passed away on August 9, 2024 at the age of 85. She entered this world on October 4, 1938 in Surat, Gujarat India, born to Muljibhai and Jayaben Joshi. She migrated to the United in 1972 and settled in the New York City area where she and her husband raised their three children.

Jyoti enjoyed cooking for her large extended family and bigger pool of friends. She loved watching Indian soap operas with her daughter, shopping, and talking on the phone with friends both near and far. Frequent social gatherings with her friends were an absolute joy for her, that included video conference gatherings during the peak of the coronavirus during 2020-2022.

Jyoti was preceded in death by her loving husband Kantilal Dave and cherished son Mayur Dave of Glen Rock, NJ. daughters, Yamini Patel (Paresh Patel) and Swati Dave (Robert Douglas); daughter-in-law Laura Callegari; grandchildren Surina Patel, Carlotta Dave, Matilda Dave as well as her brother Harshad Joshi and sisters Dakshaben Pathak and Chandrikaben Upasani.

Her presence in so many lives brought immeasurable joy, love, and laughter and for that, her family and friends are forever grateful.
