It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Mary Flanagan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on May 30, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on February 22, 1943, in Queens, NY, Kathleen brought warmth, love, and joy to all who knew her. Kathleen spent many years as an office manager in the healthcare field, proudly serving at Dr. Bruce Platnik Pediatrics in Brentwood, New York. Her dedication to her work mirrored her devotion to her family, who were always her greatest pride and joy.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Joanne Camarda (and husband Ronald), her loving sons, Michael Vega and Paul Vega (and wife Cara), and her cherished grandchildren, Stephen Camarda (and wife Tracy), Gary Camarda (and wife Erin), Paul Vega Jr., Michael Reynolds, Hannah Sadowski (and husband Chris), Deanna Reynolds, Kathleen Vega, Isabella Vega, Jessica Brezinski, and Emily Vega. Kathleen also adored her great-granddaughters, Chelsea and Kate Camarda, who were the light of her life. Kathleen's spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her meaningful life. A visitation will take place on June 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Mother Teresa Tribute Center, followed by a prayer service at 5:00 pm. Kathleen's ashes will be laid to rest after direct cremation, which will take place on June 2, 2026, at Nassau-Suffolk Crematory in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. In remembering Kathleen, let us carry forward her love and kindness, as we find comfort in the memories shared with this remarkable woman.
