d. April 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence R. Pasciutti, affectionately known as Larry, who departed this world on April 12, 2026. Larry passed away peacefully at home in the comforting presence of his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer, just shy of his 83rd birthday.

Born on April 17, 1943, in New York, NY, Larry was a beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Larry was the cherished son of the late Louis and Mary Pasciutti and grew up in a bustling household with his brothers, Lou and James, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Dreama, with whom he shared an extraordinary 60 years of marriage. Larry and Dreama were a testament to true partnership, and together they created a beautiful family marked by love, resilience, and laughter. Larry leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity through his children, Lawrence, Alicia, and Patricia, their spouses, and his four treasured grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as Poppy. His family was his pride and joy, and he dedicated his life to ensuring their happiness and well-being. The bonds he forged extended beyond family, touching the hearts of countless friends and neighbors who will forever cherish his memory.

After graduating from high school in Astoria, Queens, Larry pursued a career in the electrical industry, where he became a respected high voltage splicer and a committed member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). For over 40 years, he tirelessly traversed the city and beyond, working in diverse environments, from manholes to iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty. His steadfast dedication to providing for his family was a testament to his character and values. Larry's involvement extended beyond his professional life. As a young husband and father, he was an active member and past president of the Holiday Beach Property Owners Association. Under his leadership, he oversaw significant improvements to the association's historic estate, leaving a lasting impact on the community he cherished. Known for his kindness and generosity, Larry had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome in his home. He was never one to shy away from a spirited discussion on politics or religion, always embracing his Italian heritage with pride. His love for photography was evident in his hobby of collecting antique cameras, capturing cherished moments with his family and friends. An avid sailor, Larry found peace on the water, owning several sailboats throughout his life. Larry's legacy will be honored in a service to be held on his birthday, April 17, 2026, at 10:45 a.m. at St. John's RC Church, located at 25 Ocean Ave., Center Moriches, NY 11934. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of a man whose love knew no bounds and whose spirit will forever sail in our hearts. Larry's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community.
