Leonida Daquigan Agtuca passed away peacefully, leaving behind a rich legacy defined by family, faith, and an unshakeable spirit. Born in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Atanacio Daquigan and Segundina Balatico, she grew up in a vibrant home alongside her beloved siblings, including three brothers in the United States and her sisters in the Philippines.
Leonida was a doting, hardworking, and deeply loyal anchor to her family. Sharp, blunt, witty, and endlessly warm, she brought both honesty and joy into every room she entered. She never wanted to sit on the sidelines—Leonida loved being right in the middle of the action, whether embarking on new travels, enjoying outdoor activities, or gathering with the family she cherished so deeply.
A woman of steadfast faith, her spiritual life as a Roman Catholic was central to who she was. She found great comfort and purpose in weekly Mass and was always profoundly grateful to receive the Holy Eucharist.
Her proudest achievement remains her family. She is survived by her seven children, as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her strength, wit, and loving example.
