Lewis A. Dorgan Jr.

Lewis Dorgan Jr. of Bohemia, NY (formerly of Levittown, NY) passed away in the late evening of January 27, 2026 at the age of 83. He was surrounded by his wife and family at the time of his passing. He will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband of Patricia Gail Dorgan. Proud father of Michael, Sheila (husband, Nicholas), Christopher (wife, Katie), and Brian (wife, Beth). Dear brother of Winnefred and Thomas (wife, Kathy). Adored Pop Pop of Nicholas, Matthew, Christopher, Daniel, Shawn, Julie, Addie, and Jack.

Lewis graduated from Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington in 1960 and studied at New York Institute of Technology in Brookville, NY.

He worked for the Marine Finance Division at General Electric, Central Federal Savings, and ultimately completed his career as the Financial Manager of Surfside 3 Marina in Lindenhurst. Lewis was also a member of the United States Army, serving as an MP at Killeen Army Base in Killeen, TX.

Lewis was a lifetime member of the Matinecock Rod and Gun Club and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He is also a member of the American Legion, Levittown Chapter. He was hard-working and successful in both his professional and personal life. He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time at the gun club, skeet shooting, fishing, working on cars, trips to Mohegan Sun, cruising to Bermuda, and going to dinner with his family.

Visitation will be held at Moloney Funeral Home in Hauppauge, NY on Friday January 30 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Lewis's Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 21, at 10am at St. John of Nepomucene, 1140 Locust Ave, Bohemia, NY 11716
