Linda Joyce Nappa

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Joyce Nappa, who left this world on June 12, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 3, 1950, in Garden City, NY, Linda was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, and dedicated registered nurse.

Linda enjoyed a cherished partnership with her husband of 57 years, William Nappa. Together, they cultivated a loving home in Stony Brook, NY, where they raised their two daughters, MaryLou (Jaan) Laap and Gena (Jamie) DiCesare. Linda's love extended to her grandchildren: William DiCesare, Joseph DiCesare, Isabel DiCesare, JJ Laap, and Louie Laap, with whom she shared countless joyous moments.

Linda dedicated 15 years of her life to nursing at Stony Brook University Hospital, providing compassionate care to many. After her nursing career, she devoted her time to volunteering, making a difference in her community. 

An avid gardener, Linda found joy in weeding, planting, and spending time outdoors. She loved shopping and cherished her moments at the casino, and her time in Naples, Florida, but above all, she treasured the time spent with her family.

Linda Joyce Nappa will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her nurturing spirit, dedication to family, and the love she spread to everyone she met. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and cared for.
