Stony Brook, NY— Lou-Ann Vartanian, 65, died 13th February 2020 with her loving husband of 43 years by her side after a courageous battle with lymphoma. She spent 25 years in the Suffolk County Police Department most recently as Chief Office Assistant with the Marine Bureau. She is known for her passion for family, friends, work and extremely giving and kind heart. She loved the people she worked with, but most of all she loved her family and friends. She was the rock, and her loss will be felt for generations. Recently, she became a grandmother and even though she did not have a chance to meet her precious grandson Dylan he will forever be reminded of her through the memories and stories shared from his family. She loved to cook, spend time with her family/friends, and trips to see her son in Arizona. Her loyalty can be felt from her long-time relationships specifically her best friend of 50 years Lucille. She made an indelible mark on anyone who met her, and she will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
She is survived by her husband John and sons John-Paul, Justin as well as her Daughter-in-law Meghan and Grandson Dylan. Of course, you can’t forget the family dog Dakota.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend you will forever be in our thoughts and hearts!!
