It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louis Vincent Castellano, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who departed this life on May 24, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on September 4, 1956, in Mineola, NY, Lou spent his formative years in Deer Park, NY, before establishing a cherished life in Lake Grove, NY.
Louis will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his craft as a home builder, proudly stating, "We'll build the dreams, you create the memories." He devoted many years to Pine Tree Homes, where he left a lasting legacy in the construction industry. Married to his loving wife, Catherine Solce Castellano, for 24 wonderful years, he cherished every moment spent with his family.
A man of many talents, Louis was not only an exceptional builder but also a fantastic pizza maker, delighting family and friends with his culinary skills. He was a devoted New York Yankees fan, often sharing his enthusiasm for the game with those around him. Lou had a heart of gold, known affectionately as "Lou" by those who loved him. He also found joy in visiting the casino.Louis is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine; his children: David, Paul (the late Mary) and Theresa ; and grandchildren: Rebecca, Gabrielle, Daniel, and Nicholas. He will also be missed by his siblings, Sabella (the late William), George (Kathleen), Richard (Fern), Joy (Thomas), Robert (Elie), and Joanne (Kenneth). Lou is predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Angelina, and his brother Michael.
As we remember Louis, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, love, and dedication to family. May he rest in peace.
