It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Julia Bonavise, aged 96, on August 16, 2026. Louise was born on November 30, 1929, in New York and spent her life surrounded by the warmth of family and the love of her community.
A dedicated seamstress, Louise contributed decades of her skilled craftsmanship to the garment industry, working in New York City. Her artistry and attention to detail were not only evident in her work but also in the warmth and care she extended to everyone around her.
Louise found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a special love for hats, and her collection and sense of style were a wonderful reflection of her personality. She also loved cooking for her family, taking pride in preparing delicious meals and bringing everyone together around the table. In her quiet moments, Louise enjoyed watching old movies, finding comfort and happiness in the familiar stories and stars she loved.
Above all, Louise cherished her family. She is survived by her loving children: son Frank Bonavise, and daughters Theresa Biondolillo and Lisa Andersen. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of grandchildren, including Tina Bonavise, Natalie Biondolillo, Anthony Biondolillo, Danny Andersen, Amanda Andersen, Lizette Flefil, Frank, Jr. Bonavise, Joseph Bonavise, Andrea Salentino, and Vincent Salentino.
Additionally, she is survived by her great-grandchildren Dominick, Jr. Bonavise, Grace McKeown-Biondolillo, Joseph Andersen, Sawyer Salentino, Lillian Feldman, Harlow Bonavise, Frank Bonavise, Jacob, and Ella Defillippo
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bonavise, parents, Pasquale and Maria Sacco, her Children, Dominick Bonavise, Marie Salentino, Patrick Bonavise and Grandson Dominick Bonavise
Louise’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this time. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her cherished life. Her love of family, her generous heart, her beautiful sense of style, and the warmth she brought into the lives of others will be remembered and treasured always.
May she rest in eternal peace.
