Mary Ann Lilly

Mary Ann Lilly, 82, of St. James, New York, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, after enduring a vigorous fight with cancer. Born on April 27, 1944, in Brooklyn, to the late Alfonso and Angela Gerardo, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to those she loved, and to what defined her most, her family. Nothing made Mary Ann happier than having everyone together and celebrating the joy of family connection.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, Joseph F. Lilly; her children, Karen (Mike), Maria, Rita (Nitash), Joe (Kimberly) and Theresa; her grandchildren, Sonya (Liam), Matthew, Matthew, Jordyn, Zachary, Allie, Jack, and Ryan; and her nieces Jeanne (John), Debbie (George), Lynn (Bill) and Diane (Brian), and their families. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joan Tiedge and Anita Figlioli.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Moloney's Hauppauge Funeral Home. A devout Catholic, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Thomas More, 115 Kings Highway, Hauppauge, followed by interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (Home - Foundation For Women's Cancer), a non-profit focused on gynecological diseases.

Mary Ann’s legacy of love, church, charity, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
