Melina Jeune

Ms. Melina Jeune (Mely), age 76, passed away on June 27th, 2019 at 6:25 pm in her daughter’s arms. She was born in Haiti, the daughter of the late Fannestin & Ammisia Jeune, from Haiti. All of her 3 siblings had not survived her. She is mourned by her one and only daughter, Wilda Lazard, and her son-in-law Leger Lazard, NY. Her grandchildren include Farah Kennedy, Jonathan Lazard, Benjamin Lazard, NY. As well as her one and only great-grandchild, Jarod Kennedy. Her grandson-in-law, William A. Kennedy, Jr, NY. She was a member of the Creole Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Smithtown, NY. She believed in the hope of the resurrection that God promises in Isaiah 25 v 8. Melina was a business woman. She’s owned several homes, a rice farm, restaurants, and boutiques. She was a walking calculator. She computed numbers faster than a calculator in her head. She enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all of her friends and family.
