Michael Jay Margolis

Michael J. “Mike” Margolis passed away peacefully on May 4th in Nesconset, NY, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with GBM. Throughout his illness, he fought with remarkable strength and courage.

Mike was a graduate of Commack High School South, where he met the love of his life, his wife Maureen. They shared 45 wonderful years together and settled in Lake Ronkonkoma, where they raised their family.

In 1997, Mike founded Quest Renovations, a successful business built largely through word-of-mouth—a testament to his deep knowledge, integrity, and consistent delivery of high-quality home renovations.

Mike cherished time with his family, especially moments spent with his beloved grandson, Ryder. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Mets. Mike also enjoyed golfing, pitching horseshoes, playing cards, fishing, and cooking on his Blackstone grill.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen; his daughters, Meghan Colfer and Mackenzie Margolis; their partners, Jamison Colfer and James Foster; his grandson, Ryder Colfer; and his brother, Gary Margolis. He was predeceased by his parents, Bertram and Eunice Margolis, and his brother, Robert “Bob".
