Michael Stamoolis

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Stamoolis, of Ronkonkoma, NY, aged 79, who departed this world on April 19, 2026. Born in Chios, Greece, Michael was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who enriched the lives of all who knew him. He dedicated 54 years of marriage to his loving wife, Anna Stamoolis, and together they built a warm and welcoming home that became the heart of their family. Michael is survived by his cherished sons, George (Stephanie) and John (the late Kristine), as well as his adoring granddaughters, Phoebe, Abigail, and Molly. A dedicated professional in the aerospace industry, Michael served as Assistant Superintendent at Magellan Aerospace in Bohemia, NY, where he was respected for his expertise and commitment. Beyond his career, he was a passionate fan of planes and an enthusiastic supporter of the New York Mets. Known for his humor, Michael delighted in sharing jokes and stories, captivating friends and family alike with his gift for storytelling. Michael had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed bowling in his younger years. He took immense pleasure in spending time with his family, particularly on the deck of their home, where laughter and love were abundant. In this time of sorrow, we invite all who knew and loved Michael to join us in honoring his memory and celebrating a life well-lived. His warmth and kindness will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved so dearly.
