Pasquale Compierchio

d. August 10, 2025

Pasquale Compierchio lived 89 years filled with love, faith, and devotion to family. Born in Cerignola, Italy, he came to the United States at only 19 years old on the Andrea Doria in 1956 with his two brothers and parents, determined to build a better life. With grit and determination, he worked his entire career as a construction laborer at Local Union 66, playing a proud role in building New York’s LaGuardia Airport—work that will stand for generations to come.

At home, Pasquale was a man who valued the simple joys of life: a good day’s catch while fishing, the smell of a home-cooked meal, and a lively table surrounded by family. He was also an avid gardener, finding peace and satisfaction in tending to his plants and flowers and loved a good garden gnome. There was rarely a day when Pasquale wasn’t working on a project around the property—fixing, building, and improving things to make his home and yard even more beautiful. He was not a man who enjoyed sitting still and even well into his 80’s we couldn’t keep him off a ladder.

Those who knew Pasquale knew a man of strength, kindness, and deep loyalty. He passed down his strong work ethic to his own three children who all would go on to own successful businesses.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, Pasquale’s spirit will live on in every holiday meal prepared with love, every garden blooming in the spring, and every project completed with care. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Marilyn, and that together they watch over the generations they helped shape.

Survived by his children : Patricia Alfano (Nick), Anthony Compierchio (Cynthia) and Michael Compierchio (Deborah): His grandchildren : Nick, Jenna, Nicole and Anthony ; and his great grandchildren : Luciano, Giada and Alessia.
