Patti Mason, 79, of Nesconset, passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Queens and raised in Hicksville, Patti spent more than 50 years in Nesconset. A devoted homemaker, talented artist, and accomplished cook, she enjoyed drawing, painting, ceramics, gardening, and creating a beautiful home. She loved art, cats, ocean cruising, spending time in Montauk, and had a passion for fancy handbags and shoes, not to mention a good martini.
Patti was known for her dry wit, creativity, and lifelong friendships. Though a natural introvert, she formed deep and lasting bonds with those fortunate enough to have known her.
Above all, Patti cherished her family. She shared an extraordinary 56-year marriage with her beloved husband, Raymond. To family and friends, they were simply "Patti and Ray"-inseparable partners whose love and devotion to one another remained constant throughout their lives. Together, they raised their daughter Suzanne to become a performer and artist as well, and welcomed her husband, NYPD Lieutenant Michael Fasciano, into their tight-knit family. Nothing made her prouder than telling people about her grandson Mickey Ray, a musician and scholar, who will be going off to Penn State's Schreyer Honors College in the fall. Patti is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Suzanne, grandson Mickey, and sister-in-law Michele. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Adaline, and sister Lois.
Patti's warmth, humor, creativity, and love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
