Paul Arthur Benson

Paul Arthur Benson was born on December 29, 1942 in Queens, New York. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at age 83. He was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was loved by everyone who knew him. He was in the Church Choir at St. Joseph’s Church for many years, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a Classical trained Pianist who practiced 3 hours a day because he wanted to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Through his hard work and perseverance, he achieved this goal. He played a 28 page classical piece from memory at his concert. We are very proud of him for all his accomplishments.

In 1968, he met the love of his life and got married on November 30, 1968 to his wife, Lorraine. He has been married for 57 years and he has been blessed with three children. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his dog, Sandy. He was a Yankees fan and he enjoyed playing baseball.

Paul is survived by his beloved Wife, Lorraine, his loving Daughter, Cheryl Mattiolo and Son in Law, Chris Mattiolo, his loving Son, Robert Benson, his loving Daughter, Denise Rideout and Son in Law, Scott Rideout, and his loving Grandchildren, Kristen, Steven, Jason, Madelyn, and Luke. We miss you very much and you will always be in our hearts forever.
